Which way do the pollsters lean?

I've read that Gallup and Strategic Vision lean to the right, and Zogby leans to the left.

How about other pollsters?

Zogby is the most accurate. Gallup, Strategic Vision, Mason/Dixon and Survey USA lean to the right. I believe ARG leans a bit left and there are others that lean left.

Hey those polls keep me employed, damnit. :D

Telemarketing and market research are completely different. I don't answer telemarketing calls, either. But market research is very beneficial to not only businesses but also to consumers.

The latest poll we have conducted (for Newsweek) has Bush and Kerry tied among non-Nader states, but also has Bush up by 4 points in Nader states. Interviewing for that job continues through this weekend.

Well that really depends on whether you like the statistics the poll is giving out or not.

It is actually worse than that. Had a friend that worked at a callcenter for a while. When someone hung they just filled out the questions anyway.

Why talk about polls at all ? 99% of people who " will " vote Nov 2 have made up their minds already.

Call me strange....

If anyone (polls) wanted to know who I was voting for ... Take CNN for instance. I always tell them BUSH, Since I don't want Bush to think he is going to LOSE. But when it comes time to make a REAL poll Nov 2, Bush of course won't be getting my vote.

I've worked for three firms, and if anyone ever did what you say, those people were fired immediately.

Hmmm, I'm wondering why they would do that. Are they compensated in some way?
