Which VLC player? (64 bit)

I clicked to find the VLC player for 64 bit. But there's a whole list. Do you know which one you click for Windows 7 Professional 64 bit?

The ".exe" file has an installer, the ".7z" and ".zip" are compressed packages for manual installation. The files with the large numbers on the right are the ones you want.

So they are still not offering it as a direct download from the VLC site right? AFAIK you can only DL the 32 bit version on there.

The 32 bit Windows download is on the front page of the VLC website, probably because it's the one most people use, other versions for different operating systems are on another page. The 32 bit version works on 64 bit systems too, but having a 64 bit system, I always look for a 64 bit version of software. With VLC, I'm not sure what the differences are between the 32 and 64 bit versions. I have the 64 bit version installed, when you click on the "About" option on VLC, there is no indication that it is a 64 bit version.

I think there is only a 32 that works with 64 systems.

You could however, try out Daum Pot Player 64, which I have been using for a while now and I used to use VLC....

Just saying, have been using it over VLC myself a few years now.

I do, like I said, I used VLC for a very long time before I did.

OK, I just downloaded the regular 32-bit version of VLC and deleted the 64-bit version. If you want to know why, there's a "trick" I've used with VLC to download Youtube videos that I can't do with the 64-bit version.

(The trick is to click on "Open Network Stream" (paste Youtube video URL), then "Tools>Codec Information", then I can double-click on the URL at the bottom. I can paste that link inside Chrome and after the video appears, I can click on "save video".)
