Which video editing programs take advantage of quad core cpu's

I cannot definitively answer for the rest, but Avid Liquid 7.2 can in some situations.

Normally, it is dual threaded for many tasks. But CPU renders can use 4 cores. I found this out doing a video slideshow at 720p. Doing "Ken Burns'" effects with the 2D CPU effect had all 4 processors maxed and multiple frames updating simultaneously. Liquid also uses the GPU and seems to use a single thread to manage it.
