ATI has'nt had a really good high end bang for your buck ard since the 9700 pro (awesome card in it's day).

GeForce 7800GT would be the way to go in my opinion.

I'm pretty sure he's looking at pretty much the highest end right now and is wanting to play games at like 1920 resolution...get the x1900xt as it's the same price as the 7800gtx and a simple overclock should put it beyond the x1900xtx.

X1900XT for sure.

It's significantly better than the 7800GTX 256 MB on average, & will OC to XTX speeds if desired

why would you recommend the 7800gtx 256mb? i mean it's $10 more expensive than the x1900xt and it performs worst in almost all situations...heck, the x1900xt is beat the 512mb 7800gtx in alot of situations as well.

The 1900XT and 1900XTX beat the 7800GTX 256 at stock settings so its an obvious choice.

The X1900XT by a mile, the 7800GT is a wonderful card, i have one. But the 1900 is far superior.
