Hi. I have a tbird 1.4ghz, 512 ddr, and gf2 pro. I was wondering what video card I should upgrade to. One of my former customers is selling a used Radeon 8500 64mb for $70. is it worth getting that or a GF4 ti4400? I dont have that much money right now, but i would like to think that money isn't a issue on this one.

if you must upgrade i say get the 8500 cuz its a great deal... then wait until r300 or nv30 for yout next big upgrade...

the ti4400 is fast but not worth the huge premium you'll pay over the used radeon8500 as far as the extra performance goes...

If it is the radeon 8500 and not he 8500LE is a great deal , so if money is an issue you can go for it.
And I think that with the g4 ti 4400 you'll have the almost the same performance, so I would go for the Radeon

I'm sorry, the Ti4400 would SMOKE the 8500.

Though, the R8500 is a great deal for $70, you can't go wrong with that.
