Which Video Card to get?

If you are going to get an MX, I would say don't get a DDR board. You are going to lose about 10% efficiency. No point in that. Just get an SDR board.

here's what i see. You asked what card and now everyone is bashing or praising the Radeon. Obviosley with this much controversy why bother. I bought the Prophet II GTS and haven't regreated it. I love it. If you don't want to spend the bucks the MX will be just fine.
Most of the games out today aren't using the full potential of these cards anyway so whats the point.

My $0.02

Hey Doug, For what it is worth, I have one of the Creative Annihilator 2 MX DDR boards in my system and I am very pleased with it. I wrestled with the Creative vs. Guillemot Prophet question and the $20 price difference and Creative's support plus the DDR memory won me over. I do have an A-Open SDR geforce 2 MX on order to install in a new Celeron 600 I am building so it will be interesting to compare the two cards. I have only tried the new card in a few games, but it has certainly impressed me in Unreal Tournament, Motocross Madness 2 and MS Combat Flight Sim. I have never seen a Radeon in action, but the Geforce 2 MX blows my old V3 3000 out of the water.
