Hi there. Just upgraded my ol' P4 1.6 rig to an x2 3800+, with a nVidia 6150 motherboard w/ onboard video. I did so because I didn't have the money at the time for a PCI-E video card, and the onboard will tide me over for now. However, soon I'll want an add on video card. Looking at about $125-$150 range, and here's what I'm going to be using it for:
XviD/DivX translations
World of Warcraft
Civilization 4
Half Life 2
Doom 3
Quake 4
The games I'm looking to run at 1280x1024 if possible, AA not necessarily required. Am I out of my price range? I've been running WoW off of a laptop with a moble 9600 on it and it's been running ok at best. Looking also for a video card that is NOT loud. Otherwise the SO might not be too happy
6600GT? x1600pro? I've heard that the 7600's will be coming out in March, is that true? Do you think it would be worth waiting a month or so for one?
