Which video card for 2D?

I need recommendations for a video card for 2D. What can I get for how much?

I used to be a huuuge Matrox fan... but now, a GF3 ti200 is just too nice for the price...

Matrox G400/G450/G550.
Matrox has long held the crown for the best 2D visual quality, and deservedly so.

The GF3 Ti200 is an excellent price/performance card... but if all the guy wants is 2D then he could get a G450 that will offer much better 2D for a cheaper price.

I just got the Gainward GF3 Ti200 and it really is very good in 2D. I have a Matrox G400 Max and I can't
tell the difference but it's somewhat Subjective.

Matrox, definitely. They have the best 2D. But if you want some 3D quality as well, go with ATi.
