which vid card is better?

They're both kickass cards; you can't really go wrong with either one, but if I had to pick, I would probably go with the Gainward. They're "Golden Samples" are known to be good overclockers (although in Anand's test, the Asus did overclock a bit higher), and I've heard they have some of the best 2D compared to other Geforce3 cards. Also, they're a usually a bit cheaper. Unless you really need the extra video connections that come with the Asus Deluxe, I would save some money and get the Gainward.

Keep in mind: the new GeForce 4s will be on the shelf next week. The TI4600 will have 128 MB DDR RAM (700 MHz) and a 325 MHz core clock. It's also 8X AGP compatable, and retails for $399. How much does the Gainward cost?

BTW, if you can't afford that bad boy, 4 more cards are coming out: The TI4400 ($399), and the MX460 ($199) , 440 ($149), and 420 ($69).
