Which vid card for under $150?

I'm upgrading my system so I can play BF2...apparently my ti4200 won't cut it. 🙁 So I am getting an A64 3000+...wondering if I can get a good vid card for under $150. What chipset is the best for this price point? X800 seems to cost too much. I have come across the GIGABYTE GV-NX66128DP for $112...and it's passively cooled which is a bug plus since I want a quiet system. Yay, nay, what else is there? Thanks!

Well it seems the X700 blows the 6600 out of the water in the tests here at anandtech....I'm guessing it has full dx 9 support that the 6600 has?

After more research it seems that the 6600 GT is the best value...ARGH! Anandtech has so much info but it's not consolidated into one spot...

Thanks for the tip. How is the chaintech 6600GT? It is about $10 less...but doesn't offer the same software package.

For anyone who stumbles onto this thread, here is a great roudup at tomshardware...gives a good summary of what each card offers. Turns out the GF line supports dx9.0c and the x700 only support 9.0b.

Good choice on the 6600gt. I'm not sure which one is the best for you. I got an AGP version (Leadtek) and it's working great.

Isn't the 9800pro getting kind of outdated? I don't mean performancewise, I mean compatability wise. Even the X800 series doesn't support the latest directx.
