I'm a linux newbie and just install RH 7.3. Tonight, I'm going to try my very 1st driver installation for my geforce4 4200. Hope everything is fine.

1. anyone try RH 8.0 yet? what is your opinion? should I install the latest version?
2. I'm using Geforce4 4200, is there a driver for this card in RH 8.0 (prefer not to use generic driver)

1. Its sometimes good to avoid RH .0 releases.
2. Have you bothered to check nVidia's site?

I've tried RH 8.0 on a few systems, nothing extensive, just to see how it works.
And it's worked fine for me, if it's for a desktop I'd say go for it.

If you're setting up a production server I'd definately hold, but since you're just setting up a workstation, I'd say it's stable enough, unless you live and die by uptimes and system stability.

n0c already answered the second question.

It is perfectly fine for workstations or servers.
