i assume you are overclocking, correct? otherwise it really doesnt matter. the E3's are AMAZING overclockers, the E6's SUCK. nobody really knows about the E4's yet. my guess is that they will suck too.

Thanks for the feedback everyone....for some reason I get the feeling you all prefer the E3.......LOL

One last question in regards to the E3. Does it handle 4 populated DIMMS at 1T? I ask that because I recall reading somewhere that the E4 and E6 had better memory controllers that addressed this issue. I want some OCing but I also want to use all my DIMMS.

thanks again

none of them can unless you use the dfi expert (I think) or the ati chipset (up to 206 or something)

The newer E3s are DH-E3 or something like that and they aren't quite as good as the old ones.

Ok, I followed everyone's advice and ordered the E3 today from Newegg. Now if i can just decide on the mobo I'll be in business. The DFI Expert is definitely out though....the cost is outside my budget. I'm leaning toward the Abit AN8 Ultra. I've read some good things about it and my last build was with an Abit. It's been running good for three years so I can't complain.

Thanks again to everyone for your input
