Hi folks,

I need to purchase one of these little flash drives, but I have no clue which to get... I would like the casing to be as sturdy as possible and the it should have at least 256MB of memory on it, prefereably 512MB. I like the DiskOnKey Pro units - they seems sturdy and I like the way they look, but I don't know if they're any good. The DiskOnKey Classic 2.0 also looks very good (they just came out with a 1GB capacity), but again, I'm not sure if it's any good...

If any of you have had experience with these devices please comment on them and what you'd buy right now.

Thanks in advance...

i probably wouldn't be as worried about which one, but more worried about how cheap.... get the cheapest one you can find...
I know you are looking for a larger one but the smaller ones can often be had cheap (i think a 64MB one for 10 bux after rebate at officemax was the last one i heard about - also a couple of weeks ago i got an ok deal on a 256MB for $50 out of the store at BB)

I have a Soyo CigarPro 128 mb. I like it for the fact that the tether is on the memory part of the unit and not the cap. Also, the cap seems to hold onto the unit well (my father just lost the top to his Bonzai drive (I think that's it... the one you can put SM cards in)). The only thing I dislike about this unit is that it's a bit on the large side for one of these things.

I'd highly recommend checking out whatever unit you want at a B&M and seeing if you can get a better deal for your target item online.

Yeah if you are going for a capacity bigger than 128mb then you will definately want USB 2.0, I have found that there isn't much of a price difference compared to USB 1.1.

I am another in the world that just buys the cheapest, I have used Generic and PQI ones....both have had no issues...PQI ones are very small indeed.
