Which upgrade?

For a gaming/entertainment laptop..


1gb to 2gb of ram

or

600 series 3.2ghz to 600 series 3.4ghz

Get the ram. You won't notice either but JIC. And Y do you want those fire boxes on ur lap.

seems like a pointless upgrade to me.

but the ram if your going to be hosting servers from it for gaming.

both seem fairly unneeded. Unless your eating up the computer you won't notice either. Although if the idea is to pick one, go with the ram.

Go with the ram. The above posts are correct int hat you will not notice it in a lot of games but there are games that will use 2GB of ram (EQ2 comes to mind imediately). I would seriously doubt you would notice the 200mhz increase (at least 3.2 to 3.4 anyway) in anything other then synthetic benchmarks.

BF2 uses 2GB RAM

3.2-->3.4 is a complete and utter waste

its not a complete waste, but it isn't worth the cash required to upgrade.

It's not worth upgrading unless your processor increases atleast 400 mhz.
