I want to major in Electrical Engineering and I was accepted to all three of those schools but there isn't one that I really want to go to over another. I know it seems stupid to ask ATOT, but there are some other Electrical Engineers on these boards so I was looking for some help in my decision.

Well this is all pending that I dont get into Stanford, which is my top choice, but I was deferred Early Action. If I got into Stanford I would definately go there without any hesitation.

Thanks.

EDIT: I forgot to mention I have a personal connection to the head of nanotech research at Northwestern.

I believe Cornell has the best program of the three you listed. And whatever you do, don't go to Duke. F*ck Duke! (Yes I'm a Terp)

You don't want to go to a school in the South like Duke. Too many retarded Southerners and rednecks. Go somewhere in the NE or possibly California. Duke's campus exists mainly of trailers and dilapidated huts, so I don't know how they get the recognition they do. Probably pay people off.

HAHA, I've been to Duke actually and the campus is beautiful.

This is common for a lot of Cornell graduates.

Cornell is a better school simply because it isn't filled with rednecks.

Duke is a nice school, but I would definitely go to Cornell. I'm goin to Virginia Tech for Aerospace/Ocean Engineering. Goin on a Marine Corps ROTC scholarship too. Goddamn, TWO F**KIN MONTHS TILL GRADUATION. '05 RULES!

BTW, congrats. Nice schools all around, although I haven't heard of Northwestern. Good luck where ever u decide to go.

They actually have an excellent engineering school, better than Duke's I think. Duke is not as cold (important coming from South Florida), and has a nicer campus though and a great social life.

Forget EE and go into medicine! I know I have degrees in EE and IE with an MBA. That's 22 years of life experience talking .....

why would you want to be an EE major then? Its much more difficult to get any consulting or banking job as an engineering major. I'd suggest MMSS if you want to go to business school, those ppl get to pick their jobs.

1) Everyone, why all the hating on Duke? Very uncool :disgust:

2) Did you happen to apply to Duke-Pratt and Cornell-Engineering school?

2) As much as I like Duke, I think I'd go to Cornell for EE. The only truly outstanding engineering major here would be BME. If you think you may do something other than EE (after taking a few classes, your interests may shift), than being at Duke would be a good idea. Duke-Trinity is very option-open if you end up not wanting to do engineering.
