i have used a flat trinitron for a few years now and really like it, at school i started using an LCD, but i think i like the crt better, clearer text, faster refresh, etc. etc.

I use a perfectly flat CRT right now (a Philips 109B, specifically), and am quite pleased with it, but if I had the money and space, I'd get two projectors and set them up next to each other in a dual monitor config. :D

21" Flat Trinitron .... its nice. I don't plan on making the move to LCD's because I would rather have a bigger display. I also never found an LCD that looked good too me...

Next up, 24" Monitor :D

Your link was screwed up. Looks like you pasted twice. I fixed it in the quote above. :)

Nice LCD btw; the specs look similar to the IBM one (T220?). :p

hehe... yeah, I'm having a dumb day (shuddup) :p

Specs are similar, aren't they..... both nice though... almost give my left nut for one (well, not really)

LCD's are nice, I have one at work, but I am finding that its no where near as crisp as my flatscreen at home. We have compaq 7020's so I do not know if that has anything to do with it. I did get to load XP here at work and used teh option to make text clearer, but its still strains my eyes after a while.

I must say though, I have tons of space on my desk (although I don't need the space really) I can spread out my books and stuff better.

I prefer flat, shadow-mask monitors.

I have 2...

Cornerstone p1460 (at home)

KDS VS-195e (at friend's house for LAN gaming)

I like prefer my LCD since its more covienant than my CRT but I could take either. Personally though, I think Viewsonics have a better picture than Trinitrons. They are still both better than many monitors out there that I've seen...

There are Viewsonic monitors that use Trinitron tubes.

Trinitron (and Diamond-tron) at TYPES of tubes, specifically Aperture Grill.

Personally, I don't like any Viewsonic monitors. ;)

I have a 19" NEC MultiSync FP950 (aperture grill tube) and I really like it. Overall, I would select a Trinitron Flat Screen, although if I was programming or doing other work I would get a LCD screen.

I have a 19" Sony Flatscreen and I love it. I would love to get teh 24" widescreen b/c then I could edit items better in PS, ILL and Pagemaker. DVDs would also look pimp on it.....

CRT has better IQ, but I don't have room for one, so my LCD is doin me pretty well.

Ive wanted a Wacom Cintiq 18sx

Not only is it a pressure sensitive LCD monitor. It is reportedly one of the best LCD monitors you can buy when it comes to color accuracy(blues are blues, reds are REDS, etc)

...but are Blacks Black?? That's where LCD's really have troubles because they are backlit.
