Which TV would you rather have?

RCAs have been pretty poor for the last umteen years. Cheaper to buy but that seems the only advantage I can see.

Correct me (and I know you will) if the newer ones are any better.

Definitely the RCA. It will last longer (futureproof). Also my main gripe with the WEGA TV's is that anything LESS than a digital picture (esp. broadcast TV) looks like utter CRAP because since the picture is so clear it enhances any flaws in the signal.

As a former TV salesman, I can almost guarantee that you would be happier with the Sony.

Mind you, I'm not saying that RCA's are bad TVs. I just have a really high opinion of Sony.

Don't buy an RCA. I think that TV's not even flat, which'll look like crap on a 16x9.

I would definitely get a Toshiba 40H80 in that price range. (40&quot; 16x9 HDTV, but it's an RPTV)

Well actually now I am thinking of going the non HDTV Wega. Its half the price and I think widescreen is the wave of the future buit not for the next 5 yrs...

I love my 27&quot; Wega, &amp; it's only $550 or so retail. That's smaller than the ones you're looking at, but the bigger ones are even better.
