Which to use? UDMA5 or Mult-word DMA for SATA?

Hey guys, I am new to SATA, and I'm trying to determine the best way to get the max performance outta my new hard drive. I'm using the Asus P5B motherboard, and a Seagate 250gig SATA hard drive. In my device manager everything is show as IDE devices (I hear this is normal?). The drive is currently set to UDMA5 .. is that the best choice? In the BIOS I have Single word DMA, Multi Word DMA, and UDMA5 as my choices .. Any input would be greatly appreicated.

Ok cool. The main reason why I was asking is that I rean Sandra 2007 and it said I should use a different configuration. I did notice that with Multi-word my overall read speed was more consistant with using HD tach than with UDMA5
