Which to set to master, and which to slave?

On my system I built today I have my HD as primary on the first channel. On the second I have both my 16/10/40 Plextor CD-RW and my 16x DVD. I currently have the CD-RW set as master and the DVD as slave, seeing as that is what the Plextor manual said, but my DVD will be my primary CD-ROM, so should I change it to master. I won't be ripping cd's from the DVD to the burner, I will use my HD for that, but will the CD-RW not work as well if it is on slave? Will the DVD not work as well if it is on slave?

No, leave it as you have it. If you like to use your DVD-ROM primarily, go into your BIOS and just change preferences--make the DVD-ROM the bootable optical device and you'll be set.

Sounds fine. You would only have possible trouble trying to burn "on the fly" from the DVD-ROM to the Burner.
For what you want...it's good the way it is.
