I only have one set of ears and as such, i'm having a hard time rationalizing owning two excellent headphone's, especially when the finances are tight... I've decided to only keep one...
Home - ~$350
Sennheiser HD580 w/ A Pure Sound Mods (HD600 Grills, HD650 Cable)
Little Dot II+ Tube Amp
Portable ~ $200
q-Jays Dual Micro Armatures
PA2v2 (though I rarely need it with the q-Jays)
Although i spend a good deal of time at home, nothing can beat the portability of the q-jays and the isolation it provides on airplanes along with superb sound. As a result I am leaning towards just staying portable and getting back into the home setup once the finances change. At least the portable setup can be used virtually anywhere.
What do you guys think?
