My Pirelli PZero Nero M+S are almost bald and Im getting bad tire shake. It's time for new tires. But dont want to drop a lot of money on tires right now since Im saving up for a house.

Out of these three tires, which would be the best?
I understand these tires probably wont be as sticky as the PZeros, but I dont do much spirited driving these days anyways. Just need something that's decent.

The General Exclaims are the #1 rated tire on tirerack, but I dont know if being a cheap tire has something to do with it. And I've never heard of the brand, so it makes me a little skeptical. I've heard of the Falken brand, but dont really know much about them.

General Exclaim UHP from tirerack comes out to $516.24 with road hazard program (w/o road hazard is $464.88)

Falken ZE-512 from discounttire comes out to $502.80 with free replacement program (w/o that it's $436.80)

Falken ZE-912 from discounttire comes out to $523.60 (w/o replacement program it's $447.60)

I have a full set of the General Exclaim UHP on my 01 Corvette.

Got them as they are highly rated driving in the rain. Only have a couple K miles on them but they seem good so far.

did you purchase the road hazard program (if you bought them from tirerack). wondering if it's worth it

General Tire is made by Continental. I would eliminate the 512's because the 912's are its better successor. I have the Exclaim's on my Miata and they are great. They are very predictable when the limit is reached/passed. I am very happy with the purchase and would recommend them to anyone with similar goals, such as yourself. Just looking at the tread designs themselves, it seems obvious to me that the Exclaim should have better rain performance, if that is important to you. Makes sense since it was designed as a autobahn tire.

I've heard/read they are quieter compared to other tires. They are definitely quieter than my old Dunlop Qualifiers.

I did not. not worth the hassle IMO if soemthing goes bad. A warranty is only as good as the people that back it up. Maybe it is good maybe not.

I can vouch for the ZE-912s, I have them on my car and they grip immensely better than the Pirelli P6's I used to have, great in the rain as well. They're dead quiet but I did notice my MPG went down 1-2mpg after I got them though.

Have used both the 512's and now the 912's, and I've been more than satisfied with the Falkens. VulcanTire.com has them for cheap, too.

I got Falken 912's last week, and I like them a lot for the price. They grip well on dry or wet roads. They're also much more comfortable than the Hankook Z212 I had before.

Also heard very good things about the General UHP's, but never tried them.
