Which thermal pad to use with my SK6?

My Thermalright SK6 HSF came with 2 thermal pads in this little zip lock bag. The instructions keep referring to a Gelvet pad, but i'm not sure which one of the two it is!
One of the pads has long pink tape on it (looks like what usually comes pre attached to HSF's), and the second one is a smaller square with one side black. Which is the gelvet? and do i just stick this small square straight onto the core of the processor (once i remove both sides of the protective tape that is..) and then pop the HSF on top of it?

Oh yeah, lastly, the fan that goes on top of the HSF, does the logo have to be showing up or face down to blow onto the heatsink? I seem to remember someone saying that all fans blow in the direction of their logo? Or is it the oppsite?

I cannot comment on the pads since I use Arctic Silver II. However the decal side of the fan is sucking. You will also see arrors on one side of the fan to indicate direction. I have the Antec SX1030B case and my Enermax has a bottom fan that sux, and I have (2) 80mm Sunons sucking. With that in mind, I get the best performance with the SK6 sucking.

I wouldn't use either pad. I would get some artic silver compound instead. Just apply the compound to the cpu core and install the heatsink. I have the same setup and have the fan label showing. It works great! My Athlon XP 1700 runs at 39 deg. cent.

The arrows on the fan are pointing towards the decal side, meaning with the decal facing up, the fan is blowing outwards instead of onto the headsink. I think i need to reverse it..

And i'm building the new comp tomorrow, no time for arctic silver. The pad will have to do. Anyone have any clue which to use?
