Which Tax software will give you an advance on your return?

Last year I used TurboTax, and it gave me the option, for like a $50.00 fee, to have my return direct deposited to some bank when Uncle Sam sent it, and this bank direct deposited the money to me in lik 48 hours. Kind of like an advance. I went out and bought TaxCut this year (all the fuss about C-dilla kept me away from intuit), and I don't see an option to have the "advance". I only got as far as where it asks for my bank info, then I stopped.

Does anyone know if TaxCut has an option for this, or if that's a TuboTax exclusive thing.

The way I see it: TurboTax @ $25 + Advance fee @ $50 + Reformat & Reload OS after Intuit F@!k's it up = Money in my hand this week & the bill collectors off my phone!!!

Thanks,

You are paying $50 for nothing if you got the funds more than 2 days after you filed.
Uncle Sam will do a direct deposit for no extra charges.

Some tax firms will loan you the funds based on the refund amount as soon as the refund is accepted by the IRS.

Don't you get your refund direct deposited in just 8-13 days just using the electronic filing option in the software? I don't think it's worth $50 to get it one week sooner.

There's a term for the effective interest rates many of the tax refund places sell (and most if all not paycheck advance places):

Usury

Unless you're absolutely going to default on a loan or seriously overdue on a crucial utility bill, don't go for it. Like the other guys said, direct deposit of refunds is quite fast. E-filing probably shaves a few more days from the turnaround time.

I appreciate the feedback on whether or not the added fee is worth it, but that's not what I asked.

Not to come off as a jerk, but I just want to know which one's do it (the advance). Let me decide if I can wait the 8 - 13 days, or if I would rather pay $50 and have it on thursday.

I found a reference to it on taxcut.com, but it was for the 1999 version. I couldn't find any mention of it for the current version. I don't know if that means for sure you can't do it, but if so they didn't see fit to mention it on their site.

If you can't do it with tax software, perhaps you could do it at an H&R Block office.

Saw an ad on the tube last night for H&R offering this option.
