Which Tablet?

I really wanted the Asus transformer until a few issue. I really want to use the Time Warner Cable TV app and Netflix which both right now are only on iPad D:. The tablet must have a IPS screen and long battery life.

But I also enjoy games like Robo Defense. I also enjoy being able to simply plug the device in and drag and drop movies onto it. Which from what I remember from my iphone days was a PITA. Assuming it will suck just as bad on the iPad. I also would like GPS but if not it is not a deal breaker.

Is there another tablet I could/should choose? I am not a Apple fanboy though I do enjoy my 13" Macbook pro because of the battery life. I have a love/hate thing going with Android. It is not as "smooth" as my Iphone was but it was easier to mod and install different roms. Also I do not need to have Itunes installed. Then i did not have a Mac in my house and hated having to boot to Window from linux just to put new songs on my Iphone.

I have been holding off until now waiting on Asus Tablet to come to market. My best friend has first gen ipad and loves it. I was not even planning on using the Time Warner Cable app until I watched it on the ipad.

I went through the same delima and ended up with an iPad 2. Netflix and general app availability were the deciding factors for me. Honeycomb is new and growing but there just aren't hardly any apps out for it. The iPad already has a massive base out there and growing still. The battery life is also insane. It's my first modern iOS device and I actually like it more than I thought. Re-encoding movies is a PITA but I can live it for everything else it offers.

Looks like your heart is half captured by the iPad. Better go that route, in my opinions, unless Netflix and Time Warner Cable aren't terribly important.

I have HBO Go, Hulu Plus, and Netflix on mine. There is almost nothing I can miss...

Except that I would like to see ESPN work out deals with AT&T... WatchESPN would complete my day.

Yeah unless there is Netflix on Android soon looks like I will be getting the Ipad2. Thanks for the feedback.
