Which Stereo is better for my Jeep?

Scarpozzi

Here are my options. I have 2 factory systems that I've purchased to replace my AM/FM Cassette Stereo in my Jeep Cherokee. One is a single in-dash CD Player with cassette player as well. The other has a cassette player and a 6 disc changer that mounts under the back seat. Which should I install and which should I ebay?

Personally, I would go with the single disk. Less bother installing and when you want to flip a cd in you don't have to load it in the changer. Do you still listen to tapes?

Not really, but it's nice having a tape player as an option. I agree with the ease of access... As far as installing it....that's no problem. I could install the whole thing in 15 minutes, but that's only becuase I've spent the last couple of days fixing my right speaker and other slight stereo issues I was having. 😉

Just curious - isn't it kind of dangerous installing a decent system in a Jeep? (Assuming it's a Wrangler) Seems to me anyway that it'd be easy to steal

These are BOTH factory systems. They're not flashy Clarion decks... As far as the one wiith the changer controls....it looks like a straight-up cassette deck ($10-20 street value). The in-dash cd deck looks like that too...

The one with changer controls retails around $350 without the changer...and the one with the cd/cassette retails at $540. MOPAR really sucks. I was lucky because I got both systems AND a brand new 6 disc changer for $350 from ebay...not too shabby... So I'm going to install one and sell the other.

I like the idea of the 6 disc changer, but I'm so indecisive because I like the idea of not having to worry about changing cds at all.....as long as I burn some decent cds. I also have the option of plugging my laptop into a cassette adapter and playing MP3s....😛

Oh ok, my bad. I know that after a while I get tired of the cd, or if I have friends in the car, they might like a different type of music. It helps having a wide variety to choose from without having to rummage through 8 billion cds trying to find one everyone likes
