which SSD to get, Intel SSD 120Gb 520/330 or Vertex 4 ???

I am deciding which SSD to get, Intel SSD 120Gb 520/330 or Vertex 4 ???

330 is about $35 cheaper than 520 and Vertex 4

which one should I get ?? or I should look into others ?

Intel. They are the only ones with reliable Sandforce SSDs.

Edit: You should also look into the Crucial M4 and Samsung 830 because they are good and reliable too.

330 is better for most people because it's unlikely that you will be able to tell the difference in real world usage, but if you demand the absolute best, then 520.

Reason I'm asking is, they are cheap, like Sandforce, but when you go to Newegg, select SSD, Intel, and then there is an option for Controller: Sandforce, and then that shows only their 520-series drives.

If you are looking at a Vertex 4 here is a pretty good price on the 128 ... http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...=ATVPDKIKX0DER

Amazons prices fluctuate rapidly and wildly - the current $152 price will probably be back to $180 quickly.

Pretty decent reviews on it so far, pretty new drive though. I personally am waiting to see what Crucial and others do with the new Marvell controller before I invest my money.

Yesterday they (newegg) were giving a $20 gift card with the 15% off. Made it around $132 plus tax. Killer deal.

They've only been out for what, 2 months. How can you claim they're 'reliable' when they haven't been out in the wild and tested for a year like the other brands?

I really don't understand the blind Intel fanboy-ism that seems to be going on here. SSDs really should be treated like fine wines if you value reliability -- the designs need time to age, mature, etc.
