Drive them all and post back. Here my quick reply..

TL
-nice, love mine
A4
-too small, no power
07 G35
-too small, hate the feel of the brakes. Strangely it feels clunky with a lot of flex?
335i
-love it, too small, if it had more room this is the one to beat.
IS350
-love it, no manual - this is the perfect car and I would buy one today if they offered a manual.
C350
love it, still too small for me

Eitherway, they are all very fine cars. Depends on what you want.

Wait, so the G35, pretty much the biggest car in its class (right there with the TL) is too small, but you think the IS which is about the size of a subcompact in the rear, nowhere near the roominess of a G35, is just perfect?

And yes, the '07 G35 is all new and improved in just about every way the old model was criticized for.

I did consider the 335 coupe, but with the package I wanted and tax, it would be topping 50k.

Plus I figured a sedan is a bit more practical on snowboarding trips.

Sedan is much more practical but if you're still young I would get a coupe. If you want to wait a year the G35 coupe looks sexy.

I'm trying to decide between the 07 G35, 07 Subaru STi Limited, and for $10k less the new Mazda 3speed. They're all super fun.

No, I have not. I lumped it in with the other G35s I've driven (my bad). I just ass-u-meed that I had. Meaning I haven't, I can't keep up with every sedan and drive them all. I appologize for commenting on a car I have not driven yet.

I'll have to check it out though, thanks for the head check. Unless radical changes were made it's still too small for me. I'll honestly see if I can line a test drive up and then respond.

I found the G35 to have more room than most of his list. Certainly more than the IS350 and 330.

Yeah, the IS is certainly lacking in space in the rear seats. My wife is 5'4" though so when she's driving I actually am quite comfortable sitting behind her and I'm 5'11". I wouldn't want to sit behind me though. In our Maxima it wouldn't be a problem. G35 sedan definitely has a much larger passenger compartment than the Lexus IS.

Don't know too much about those, are the resale value ok, or suck like most American cars?

I don't want a 40k car to worth 8k after 3 years.

"Ya know, when the sun is at the correct angle in the correct azimuth you can get glare on the G35!!!! OMG!!!!!! It's such a crappy car!!!!"

I really hope my sarcism meter is broken.

Go test drive an IS350, trust mel.

I used to absolutely hate the IS 300's. Thank god for the updated body style is all I have to say. Also when my RX330 was getting repaired by lexus they gave me an IS250 to drive. All I have to say is that thing was F'ing FUNN to drive. It was fast, agile, stiff suspension for cornering, and just a joy to drive. Also it has one of those manual-automatic suspensions, though I didnt use it (the gear shifts are located on each side of the wheel, easy acess). The 350 is pretty much better all around than a 250 that they use as a loaner car, and is definitely my choice.

Plus Lexus's service dept is amazing, my car was in for repairs, and they gave me an IS250 (I coulda taken an ES350,RX330 or IS250) free of charge. I put about 110 miles on it during repairs, and I didnt pay a cent in gas.

Chrsyler SRT8's - Charger, Magnum, 300C. Currently being discounted about $6K so all can be had for under $40K.

2007 G35 - looks hard to beat on paper

A4- tiny back-seat, good if you need AWD. Not very powerful.
I35 - tiny back seat, smallish trunk

Acura TL.

Personally, If I had that kind of money I would get an Acura TSX due to its great blend of features, performance, price and everything else. Not to mention the fun factor.
