i am getting an IS7
i will probably buy it from Monarch Computer.com
there it says IS7-C that's the same as an IS7 right?

for memory i will probably go with 512 MB DDR400 3500 - CAS-2 Corsair CMX
that is better for overclocking right??

and the processor i am not sure what to get
2.4 GHz 800 FSB
2.6 GHz 800 FSB
2.8 GHz 800 FSB
3.0 GHz (HT) 512K 533 FSB
3.00 GHz 800 FSB

i am going to do video editing
playing games like Command and Conquer Generals
working with programs like premiere 6.5, photoshop 7, 3d studio max R3.1, Bryce 4, Poser, dreamweaver MX, FlashMX stuff like that

i hear that HT is good for video editing but that 3.0 with HT is $379
i was thinking of getting the 2.4 cause i hear its good for over clocking

what do ya think?

all those 800 fsb processors are HT enabled....

get a 2.6 or 2.8 to not over stress you memory

he bought PC3500...how does that stress?
they can handle 2.8V and DDR433 very well
3.0C is ur fastest choice although value wise, 2.6C brings it home.
OC it if u want...it'll be dead stable at 2.8-3ghz range

because if you get an extreme overclock...

you'll need like a fsb of 280+ and THAT stresses your memory....

it takes a lower fsb to run at 3.6 with a 2.6 as compared with a 2.4

that's why people are getting 2.6 and 2.8C's even though they are a little more expensive...

with these new 865/875 chipsets, people are basically being limited by their ram more often then not..
