I would reccomend the FPS1000's or the ACS54's. My cousin has the ACS56's and they're mighty good speakers.
Also, asking in General Hardware forum could help :)

FPS1000 SUCKS! DO NO BUY IT. Tiny ass sats and super weak sub.

I would recomend the Cambridge Soundworks Soundworks. I had these before the FPS 2000's, they sounded great and the sats seem to be the same as FPS 2000. Bass is still lacking tho for the heavy gaming stuff I like, the FPS 2000 is weak too, works great for music and DVD"s tho.

Save your money and get some really good speakers (Like Klipsch). Speakers will last you 10 years or more, so it is worth your money to invest some good money in them. I have some Klipsch and they are awsome, though they cost $250.

I have the ACS 45.2s myself and they sound great. This is my third set of Altec Lansings and I have never had a problem with any of them.

I also have the ACS 45.2's too. Mainly because one of my speakers on my old 45.1's died just two weeks before the warranty ended. Lucky for me I was able to send it back and got new 45.2's as replacements.

The Klipsch Pro Medias are well worth waiting for. Save a little money and treat your self right. You won't be sorry. These are hands down the best speaker setup for a PC.....Period!!

I wouldn't say the klipsch are the best hands down...
They are my favorite that I've heard though.

If you can find it, a set of Aura Aspect-30's paired with a good subwoofer really offers better sound quality than all these you have mentioned. Although the speakers were never a big hit, and they look somewhat bland, they sound really awesome. Each of the satellites has 2 mid-range and 1 tweeter sandwiched in the middle. The result is a much fuller midrange, and crisp highs.

Meci is one store that still has these for sale, MECI Part Number: 220-0272 and MECI Part Number: 220-0311. I would recommend against getting the 2.1 package however. The subwoofer is mediocre at best (from personal experience). It'd be better to get a separate subwoofer to go with the 2 satellites.

You can PM BrotherMan, he is another forum member that owns (owned) a pair, and he compares them to the Midiland S2-4100's.

Good luck!
