Will those $42 "ACS33 3pcs. 15w. Subwoofer/5w. Satellites" do me well?

I would suggest the ACS-45s but they are not listed there.

I would go with the ACS54 5pcs. 20w. Subwoofer/4-5. Surround. IMO its the best value. I got a set for a friend and she loves the hell out of them .

I have the ACS33 but i only payed 30$ for the OEM version.They're ok but the 45s are prolly better if they fit your budget

Would they be good even if my sound card only has one output thingimajig?

you can get a y-adaptor, and you'd get the same signal from front and rear.
