Just bought an audigy sound card which has a 24 bit DAC. Now here is my dilemma.
SHould I get a SPDIF set od speakers or ones with a regular analog input. I ask because if it is a "regular" analog input sound card, it will potentialy have some noise (created by the CPU box) but take advantage of the better 24 bit DAC ont eh audigy. On the other hand, the digital speakers will be a lot more clear (free of noise) - but WON't THEY HAVE A POTENTIALLY INFERIOR DAC (maybe a "standard" 16 bit one?).
Is this a tradeoff that I have to live with, or am I rong on the facts here??? Please help.
