which sound card to match z-640's?

got a set of logitech z-640's... but i don't have a sound card to go with it yet... just trying to decide whether to get a plain old SB Live! 5.1 OEM or to go for an Audigy OEM... any advice? i use my computer mostly for games... not too much for music or movies...
 
I've got a Game TheaterXP and it's great. Should work with the Z-640 set.

SB Live5.1 is a good cheap card, but it's got some bad parts. I wouldn't recommend it. Most people I've heard recommend the Turtle Beach Santa Cruz, and many would recommend the Audigy.
 
i have the same speakers w/ the audigy oem soundcard... it's a very good card and ihave had no problems running it under win2k and winxp... sounds good and i have no complaints 😉 plus, the oem version is much cheaper and does a good job... another good card would be the TBSC card as mentioned up above.
