I just bought Soundworks DTT 2200 5 speakers with a woofer... yummy!!! I had SB live Value.. i never had a prob with it but i knew i had to get 5.1 card so i ebayed that card. So i need a new sound card but dont know which one is better.. of course cheaper the betterm but i want to make a good investment... SB live 5.1 is around $50 at newegg.com and Mwave has Santa Cruz at 78.

What should i get and why?? Why do people like Santa Cruz more?? Which will make my new speakers happy?

Do a search, but from what i have read the Turtle Beach is worth the extra cash.

The Santa Cruz is your best bet,it sounds better then SBLive and has very good drivers and is easy to install.

The DTT2200 series was made for the SBLive 5.1, If you get the cruz, I dont believe you will be able to use that center channel, but don't quote me on that, the SC might have been updated since last time I had it.

IF you dont have the VIA 686B (crap southbridge) then go with the live, if you do have it, then go with the Santa-Cruz.

Sound quality is very similar between the 2 and you would never noticed the differences provided they were both setup with the same based and line out volume.

SoundSurge did a comparison recently, with the SBLive being more efficient so more CPU can go to your programs and not your sound card. So if your a gamer, it will be better.
