im looking at the dell refurbished systems, and they have the SB Live and the Turtle Beach Santa Cruz sound card available. For some reason the SB is under the 512 category and the Turtle Beach on is in the 64 category. does that indicate that the SB is 512 bit card and the other is 64 bit?

how much of a difference is it going to make when playing games, listening to music ect. through stereo speakers (im not getting the surround system)

thanks,
-Scot

SpazzDotCom go with the Santa Cruz you will not be sorry. Santa Cruz has the best driver support. Drivers are updated at least every 3 months if not more! Plus you can get the Santa Cruz retail at compusa for $59.99! Its origanally $79.99 the Santa Cruz retail at compusa when its on sale but whenever it goes on sale again it has like a $20 instant rebate so when you pay for it you only pay $59.99 plus tax for the santa cruz retail when its on sale. So total is about $65 which is with tax. Remember this is not the exact amount. Plus the santa cruz i think is a better sound card. It has excellent music, game, and dvd sound qaulity i think! But i really do think driver support is a really important thing with any hardward you get espically a sound card. Plus Santa Cruz was the first one to have Windows XP drivers out btw. But they work fine with windows 2000 too. So you know they have good support. Santa Cruz was like the only sound card to have Windows XP drivers out like 3 to 4 months before windows xp was even out.

I bought a TB santa cruz (refurb) from dell for ~$45. Have been very satisfied. Definitely go with the TB SC. You wont' regret it. Hell, check the forum and you'll see that people love that card. Just my 2cents.
