I am planning to buy the logitech z560 and I want to know which sound card is good enough for this speaker. It would truly be horrendous to not be able to take advantage of my speaker.

My choices are : SBlive 5.1 (from my old comp), nforce onboard sound and SB audigy,

(GTXP is too expensive , and Santa Cruz is not avaliable in where I live)

Of the three, which one is the best? Is there a huge difference between the SB live and audigy?

By the way, I play games, listenes to mp3s and sometime watch dvd movies.

I have the z560s paired with the Turtle Beach....Lets just say it is pure audio bliss. Gaming could be better but MP3s rattle the walls.

Most decent soundcards would do justice to computer/multimedia speakers. The TB Santa Cruz is a good choice if you want good clean sound, so is the Philips AcousticEdge and the Hercules GTXP to a slightly lesser extent. The Audigy and Live! from Creative aren't known for their sound quality though...despite the audiophile pretentions of the Audigy...what they excel in is gaming/3D features.

The major difference between the Live! and the Audigy is that the Audigy is a 5.1 capable sound card (which doesn't matter for your 4.1 speaker system) and that the Audigy provides EAX Advanced HD.

Go with the Audigy.
