I'd like to know also. I do know that it's not the live however.

If I remember right, I think the phillips AE had some probs in win2k, but no sure, I'd personally either go w/that or the Santa Cruz

I dunno about the sound card.

SPDIF is Sony/Philips Digital Interchange (Interface?) Format.

It specificies a format for a digital stream. There are two types of SPDIF. The Electrical version which uses an RCA/Coax connector, and the Optical version which uses a little square black thing called a TOSLINK connector.

Can anyone confirm is the Acoustic Edge still has problems in Win2k? Have their new drivers fixed this? Currently, this card is cheaper than a Santa Cruz. Thanks

i've read numerous reports of spdif working in win2k on various cards...

i've heard the acoustic edge problems have been cleared up....

again, i recommend the santa cruz...i own one, and don't have really anything to complain about, except a couple things in win2k...

major one: changing audio levl in winamp should be independent of the mixer's wav level, but it isn't (though it is w/ the VxD win98 drivers)...so, u can't change winamp's sound levels without changing everything's sound levels (barring aux, cd, etc.)...i noticed my diamond mx300 and WDM drivers had this exact same problem in win2k...is this inherent in all audio cards using WDM drivers?
