which souncard to buy ?

i have a logitech x-530 5.1 speaker sysem.i am not too happy with my onboard sound
i have a ASUS A7N266 nforce1 with realtek alc650 chip.will buying a new sound card make a large difference in the sound output if yes, which soundcard should i go for i want something in range of 60 $.

depand on you'r hearing (very personal, can chang quite a lot from person to person)
but generally speaking: yes it will make a change

You could get an Audigy2 value for around $60. Or for a little cheaper a Soundblaster Live for $30. Both are 24-bit and support up to 7.1

I think the main difference is the DACs are a little better and a little better Signal to noise ratio etc. (nothing you would notice without really expensive speakers)
