Wow, they're still selling MDs? I bought mine over four years ago and sold it on ebay. It was just annoying to have to carry as many MDs around as CDs (each MD only holds 74 min), plus I was only able to record on realtime. That was annoying, too, because, at least then, I had to patch it through my output jacks on my sound card, and any sounds on my PC ended up on my minidisc. IMO you will have a much longer-lived investment if you buy a HD-based MP3 plapyer. Even a 128/256 MB CF flash-based one is a bit more convenient than minidiscs. Yea, it may be cheaper now to get an MD, but I think in the short term you will end up frustrated with it. Just my opinion, of course.
EDIT: I read the link and it seems they fixed most of the issues that caused me to not like my MD. Hmmmm.....I stand corrected.
