Hi all,

I figured out how to just install playcenter 3 (from the one CD), but now I'm wondering what else is worth installing from this CD...

How handy do you find the other apps? I haven't even intalled stuff like the audioHQ, in an effort to avoid bloat on things I don't need.

Thanks, Dave

EDIT: ORIGINAL MESSAGE BELOW

I have the original CD from myAudigy retail MP3 card, and it will allow installation of 8 million applications I don't care about, but won't show me how to simply install playcenter 3. The documentation is no help with this either...and of course you can't download playcenter 3, only updates to it.

First, am I missing a second CD?

Second, how does one install playcenter 3 only?

Thanks in advance...my wife is waiting anxiously for me to update her Nomad II using this new box.

Just go in, and then select Audigy. All the other stuff, like Adobe, just deselect (there are about 8 items across 2 splash screens).

Once you are into the Audigy software installation, you need AudioHQ, Surround Mixer, and your PlayCenter. That's pretty much it. Even if you don't think you will use AudioHQ, it's a pretty good idea to install it as you need to control MIDI soundfonts and a few other things. If you don't use MIDI, you will need AudioHQ just to reduce the size of the soundfont cache in memory anyway.
