Which software is best for Temp recording?

I just finished a new system this weekend with a Tbird 750@1050 and Alpha heatsink. After reading all the cpu cooling problems, I have kept a close eye on the cpu temp. The Bios reports 52c which seemed strange to me. I down loaded sisoft Sandra 2000 and it reports 42c. I had the same incorrect bios reporting on my last system which was a Coppermine 700@933, Alpha, 7vca Mobo. The Bios reported the Cpu temp less than the case temp. My current system has a Asus A7V Mobo. My question is which correct Mobo Bios or Sandra?
