Which software for 802.11 connection?

hardly anything works with that card (try airopeek, netstumbler, airsnort)...i had it and ended up swapping it for a dell truemobile cause intel is a POS seems like. Even in my office with 5 different hot spots it gets a crap signal and when i went out with netstumbler i get at best a 50 signal ratio on places i now get a 70+. I say toss the card on ebay and find something somewhere else :p

Windows XP's wireless zero configuration is really good actually. The problem you are running into is, it will not pick up APs that do not broadcast their SSIDs. There is a misconception that turning off the SSID broadcast somehow makes you more secure. Well that's false. Anyway, if you need a wireless client that will connect to any AP that is available, check out Funk Odyssey Client.
