Just to try my hand at overclocking my 1700+ AthlonXP, which low-priced (but with the usual features, and can run an 8x AGP 9600PRO) mobo, of any chipset, but preferably nforce2-based, has adjustable multiplier settings? I don't wanna mess with FSB settings, coz I don't wanna mess up PCI/IDE/AGP frequencies, unless they're separately adjustable too and can be left at default 33MHz for PCI, etc...

Currently Im using an ASUS A7N266-VM nforce1 board which has NO overclocking features whatsoever :(

Thanks

Abit NF7-S.

Nforce 2 and has all the overclocking features you could want. Has PCI/AGP lock so you can overclock FSB without any worry.

That Albatron does seem like a nice board. However, Abit NF7-S is tried and true performer. Several of my friends have NF7-S and many can hit 230+ FSB. I need another board for my new 1800+ I bought. I'll more than likely go with NF7-S since I know Vcore is supplied by 12V rails. This is one of the most important feature for overclocking board. While I love my 8DRA+, it's one thing I would change with this board. Epox did change to 12V rail for 8DRA3+, they took away Firewire and Soundstorm.
