Which Slots to Install Memory on 8RGA+?

I just built a system on a 8RGA+.
CPU is the XP 2400 and two sticks of Crucial 256MB 32x64 PC 2100 DDR ram and using the onboard video.

The manual shows two ways to install memory based on whether it be 64 bit or 128 bit. I am kindly unsure about which would be the correct way to install the above sticks.

I currently have them installed per the chart for 128bit and it seems to be working fine.

I looked on Crucial's web site but found no indication regarding the 64 vs. 128 bit issue.

Is my install correct or should I switch them to the 64 bit configuration?

Thanks for any insight on this issue

You have it right. 128 wide memory is important because it makes the on board video go much faster.

Would 128bit make any difference if you aren't using onboard video? I have a Geforce3 ti500 AGP video card in my system and I was thinking of adding another 512MB stick so I would have 1GB of RAM.

Dual channel does makes some difference on benchmarks, but it would be hard to notice. The benifits of an extra 512M might be more significant if something actually needs it. I'm not sure, but I think part of the RAM does operate in dual channel 128 bit mode when all three DIMMs are filled.
