Which silent video card?

Hello everyone, thanks for your advice, I have narrowed my search for a new video card with two types:
- GTX 560Ti
- HD 6870
What I would like to know is which model and brand are the quietest?

I don't think you'll be able to find either of those cards "silent". However, the 6870 has lower power consumption and the GTX 560ti is faster.

Neither is silent, but the reference GTX 560 Ti is extremely quiet given its performance.

EVGA's warranty service is better than most. This one has a lifetime (and the reference style cooler).

If you're looking for a silent, high performing GPU you may want to reconsider. None of them are silent, although the 560 is probably easier on the ears than the reference amd fan.

Dunno about the 560ti or reference AMD, but i have a XFX 6870 dual fan and it's very silent imo.

I have a reference XFX 6870 and it is quite loud. Definitely not the route to go if you want a quiet PC.
