Heh, I keep hearing about how Iraq is telling its people that they have shot down and destroyed all kinds of allied equipment and that they think they are clearly winning the war.

At the same time, we're hearing about how Iraq is getting owned for the most part and that we have suffered very few losses and taken lots of surrendering troops.

Of course you want to believe CNN, BBC, whatever, but who's really telling the truth? Without being there, how can we be so sure?

There is not one word of truth coming out of the Iraqi DisInformation Ministry. Saddam's regime keeps its people in line by instilling fear through threats and hiding the real truth from them.

It will take a long time before the Iraqi populace is trusting enough to voice dissent w/o fear of being tortured and/or murdered.

Just look at the words from the Iraqi UN Ambassador. Pure, banal rhetoric with no basis in truth. Its only intention was to inflame anger toward the U.S. and, seemingly, bolster support back home. Negroponte just walked out on his sorry a**.

The Coalition side tells *more* truth than the Iraqi's, this should be obvious, but neither side tells *the* truth.
