I have Terminator:Salvation and Night at the Museum 2 coming on blu-ray tomorrow.

I chose to watch Terminator first.

Is there any way I can get the producers to give me back the two hours of my life I wasted watching that piece of crap movie?

Oh, and btw, was that stock footage of Arnie from previous movies? Or CGI?
Or did they just go back in time to shoot the scenes?

Pretty sure the Arnie footage was CGI. Either way, I actually picked up T4 on BRD today .. hell for 15 bucks on BRD, whatever. The movie (plot) blows, but really what do you expect from the 4th installment of Terminator? Most of the CGI/action scenes were cool, though.

meh I thought the opposite. T3 was terrible and Salvation wasn't all that bad. What are the issues everyone has with it? I mean it's not amazing or anything and nowhere near as good as the first 2, but it was decent I thought.

Well first off it did not even really feel like a Termintaor movie, which T3 at least did. Bale had no personality and I typically like the guy. The story was pretty silly, which would be fine if it wasn't taking itself so seriously (the whole Worthington thing was dumb and he had no personality either). The action was not even very good. It was not completely stupid like Transformers 2, it was just boring, with flat characters and no creativity.

So there are my reasons for not liking this film.

Gotcha, after thinking about it I can see how some of your points are valid, I also though it didn't have a lot of the "Terminator" feel to it.

I dunno I enjoyed it simply because I like the Terminator story/world and had hoped to see more of the way with skynet so I overlooked a bunch of the flaws.

See it's the same way I felt about the Danial Craig Bond movies. They just don't feel like Bond movies to me.

Fair enough and to be honest I'm sure I will end up watching the sequel when it comes out. Even though I thought this film was pretty horrible, I have been with the characters for 4 movies now and I am still interested to see what happens as long as they don't do something completely stupid.

meh bond movies don't feel like bond movies to me without Connery.

But I do like the Craig bond movies as "Spy/Espionage/Bourne" type movies. They are a less campy version of Bond that is very different than then rest of the series but I feel that they are good movies nonetheless, well Casino Royale was good, Quantum was hohum.

The first one he did was utter crap and was not even close to being a bond movie but the 2nd one was much better. and actually halfway decent.
