Which should I keep?

Have a Diamond MX300(out of bussiness both them and Aureal) and a C-media sound card. The C-media is a generic 4.1 sound card and the MX300 which was good in the day is also 4.1.

The MX300 has almost no support with XP but does have some fixes so it does work(not sure on the 4.1 though) not sure if the C-media even has 4.1 in XP either.

Which would you keep?

I'd go with the C-media myself. It's decent, quite clear sound, good software support.

Of course, I'd still have a use for the MX-300 if it has a daughterboard slot. Us MIDI weirdos....

I take that back its not a C-media its a E3DX or something chipset.
