Which should i be upgrading?

should i upgrade my CPU to Athlon X2 (S939)
or nvidia 8800GT/ATI HD3875?

Let say i will open 10 IE at the same time and bittorrent
under this circumstances is upgrading my Athlon 64 3200+ to X2 any performance gain?


I want to play Crysis too..
I don't know if my video card is a hold back or my CPU

let's say i have a total of $400 to spend.
where should i put it?

Your A64 is more than enough for simply 10 instances of Internet Exlporer (Psst: use firefox or opera ), and running torrents in the background.

Both your video card and CPU will affect Crysis' performance, but the video card more so. I think you'd get more out of a video card upgrade at this point but your CPU will become quite the bottleneck.

You could consider:
Athlon X2 4200+ S939, $66
XFX 8800GT 512MB PCI-E, $270

Giving you $336 total.

That looks pretty much like the best deal. You will want to upgrade both if possible!

Yep - don't see why you can't upgrade both!

You'll find that a dual core based system feels more responsive - go for it.
