Which setting is for tRD in Asus P5D Deluxe Bios?

Hey

I'm reading guides about memory timings to get the best peformance, in partuicular an anandtech one that says tRD unlocks hidden memory performance.

I have a Asus P5D Deluxe motherboard running the latest bios, which of the memory bios settings is the one for tRD?

There is nothing that says "Static tRead" o "tRD" or "Performance Level" that guides I read is what it is known as for other motherboard bios.

If anyone can help that would be fantastic.

Do you mean P5B-Deluxe? I am not sure which chipset P5D-Deluxe is based on. P5B -> P965 chipset, P5K -> P35 chipset, P5Q -> P45 chipset, I believe.

If your board is P5B-Deluxe (P965), then it is likely that tRD value isn't selectable in the BIOS. It wasn't until P35 was released that board manufacturers exposed tRD in BIOS. So on 975X and P965, tRD will be automatically set by the board.

The main factors that determine tRD values are FSB, memory (number and density of sticks), and dividers (ratio). Usually up until 400 FSB it's going to be 5~7, and above 400 FSB it'll be 6~9 for P965. Unfortunately you don't have direct control over tRD on

Edit: i see you found the P5Q thread...yeah you have a P5Q-D, not P5B-D.

Hold on, you can now manually set tRD in the P5B Deluxe's BIOS?

I haven't updated my BIOS for that board forever, but seriously, you're sure you aren't talking about a P5Q Deluxe?

yeah P5Q deluxe, checked cpuz.

I believe I am setting trd, as i've been told its the "performance level" setting? if u set ai transaction booster to manual you get the setting revealed to you. i'm running the latest bios so update and you'll get it i guess.

you have to set memory timings to get ai transaction booster showing.

Yes, you are correct.

You can see the tRD value in Windows with MemSet or Everest.
