Hi,
I plan on building a new system for my duron 700 that I plan to OC.....I have sticks of Mushkin samsung-gh pc100 cas2, PNY cl3 pc125? according to sis sandra, one has inferon chips 8 ns and another with hyundi..these PNY I have tested with the bios sdram time set to 2 instead of 3 so far looks in Q2 time demo . I also have some pc100 cl2 w/ siemens chips.
Are these all pretty much the same ? I want to put the best ram I currently have into this new system. Also will mixing pc100 with pc133 hurt performance.
Thanks,
Breeze

When you mix RAM sticks like that, or of whatever type, the performance of your system (as you push the limits of the memory bus speed and CL) will be limited by the weakest performing stick. Also, the nomenclature "PC100" and "PC133," or "CL2" or "CL3," establish minimum performance standards that the module maker guarantees, not maximum limits.

I thought mixing the sdrams may cause a loss in performance if a slower one is a part of the mix but wasnt sure. Also, I tried to go back to the thread about 128 meg sdram special at Staples and thank the person who posted it but couldnt find it..My 2 64 meg PNY,s ( I couldnt get the 128 single stick) got the price match+coupon+MIR . These two sticks were the ones that sis sandra called pc125 cl3...They are working at sdram time 2 (in my bios),100hz setting and running Q2 time demo at 32bit color so far no problems...

Thanks for the reply !!
